Karthik Murali

Dr. Karthik Murali is a key leader in healthcare innovation with extensive experience in medical devices and digital health. As the Head of Safety Net Programs at Akido Labs, Karthik leads initiatives to improve healthcare access and quality for underserved populations. He also serves as an advisor to the Future Communities Institute. Previously, he directed the USC Digital Health Lab, driving interdisciplinary solutions to global healthcare challenges. Karthik co-founded StemSurgical and has held research engineering roles at USC and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. He holds a PhD in Bioengineering from USC, where he was a Provost Fellow, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Economics from Northwestern University. Karthik's work is supported by several patents and publications in the field of medical devices. He is committed to leveraging technology to create impactful healthcare solutions.
